This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for cancelling your membership and requesting refunds. We strive to be fair and transparent while ensuring the sustainability of our platform to serve the matrimonial needs of our community.
You can cancel your NayiJodi membership at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Upon cancellation, your premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After cancellation, your profile will be converted to a free account, and you will lose access to premium features such as unlimited messaging, advanced search filters, and priority customer support.
We offer a 7-day cooling-off period for all new premium memberships. If you cancel within 7 days of your initial purchase and have not used any premium features (such as sending messages, viewing contact details, or using advanced search), you are eligible for a full refund. After the cooling-off period or once premium features have been used, membership fees are non-refundable except in cases of technical issues that prevent service usage.
To cancel your membership: (1) Log in to your NayiJodi account, (2) Go to Account Settings > Membership & Billing, (3) Click on 'Cancel Membership', (4) Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation. Alternatively, you can email us at support@nayijodi.com with your registered email address and membership details. We will process your cancellation within 24 hours.
All premium memberships auto-renew by default to ensure uninterrupted service. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time from your account settings. If you cancel auto-renewal, your membership will continue until the end of the current billing period, after which it will not renew. We recommend cancelling auto-renewal at least 48 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
You are eligible for a refund if: (a) You cancel within 7 days of purchase, (b) You have not used any premium features, (c) There were technical issues on our end that prevented you from using the service. You are NOT eligible for a refund if: (a) You have already contacted or messaged other members, (b) You have viewed contact details of other members, (c) Your account was terminated for violating our terms of service, (d) You simply changed your mind after using the service.
After cancelling your premium membership, your profile remains visible to other members but with limited features. You can still receive interests and messages from premium members, but you cannot initiate contact or view full profiles. If you wish to completely remove your profile from the platform, you must delete your account entirely through the account settings, which is a separate process from membership cancellation.
When you cancel your membership but keep your account, we retain your profile information and match preferences to allow you to reactivate your membership easily. Your messages and connections remain accessible. If you delete your account entirely, we remove your personal information within 30 days, except for data we are legally required to retain for compliance, fraud prevention, and safety purposes.
We may consider refunds outside the standard policy in special circumstances such as: (a) Death or serious illness preventing use of service (documentation required), (b) Technical errors resulting in duplicate charges, (c) Significant service outages lasting more than 7 consecutive days, (d) Proven cases of identity theft or unauthorized use. Each case is reviewed individually by our support team.
Congratulations if you found your life partner through NayiJodi! If you're cancelling because you found a match, we offer a special 'Success Story' cancellation where you can share your story (with consent from both parties) and receive a commemorative certificate. While refunds are not available for successful matches, we celebrate your success and may feature your story (with permission) to inspire other members.
Instead of cancelling, you can pause your membership for up to 3 months. During this time, your profile will be hidden from search results, and billing will be suspended. This is useful if you need time to focus on family discussions, travel, or other commitments. You can reactivate anytime during the pause period, and your membership will resume from where you left off.
Add-on services like profile highlighting, boost features, or personalized matchmaking can be cancelled independently of your main membership. These services are billed separately and have their own cancellation terms. Most add-ons are non-refundable once activated, as they provide immediate value. Check the specific terms for each add-on service in your account settings.
If you have a family plan where multiple profiles are linked to one payment method, the primary account holder must initiate cancellation. Cancelling affects all linked profiles simultaneously. Partial cancellations (removing only some profiles) may be possible with adjusted pricing. Contact our support team for assistance with family plan modifications or cancellations.
If your membership is cancelled due to payment failure (expired card, insufficient funds, etc.), you have a 7-day grace period to update your payment information and restore your membership without losing your premium features or match history. After the grace period, you'll need to purchase a new membership, and some historical data may no longer be accessible.
We reserve the right to cancel your membership and/or account for: (a) Violation of our terms of service or community guidelines, (b) Fraudulent or misleading profile information, (c) Inappropriate behavior towards other members, (d) Suspected fraudulent payment activity, (e) Legal requirements or court orders. In cases of terms violations, no refund will be provided.
Once a refund is approved, it typically takes 5-7 business days for the amount to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider. Credit card refunds may take up to one billing cycle. We will send a confirmation email once the refund is processed. If you don't receive your refund within 10 business days, please contact our support team with your refund reference number.
If you disagree with our decision regarding cancellation or refunds, you can appeal by emailing disputes@nayijodi.com within 30 days of the decision. Provide all relevant information including your membership ID, transaction details, and reason for dispute. Our escalation team will review and respond within 5 business days. If still unresolved, matters may be referred to arbitration as per our terms of service.
Free memberships do not require cancellation as there are no charges. You can simply stop using the service or delete your account if you no longer wish to use NayiJodi. Free accounts remain active indefinitely unless deleted by the user or terminated for inactivity (no login for 12 months) or terms violations.
Premium membership benefits are non-transferable and cannot be shared, sold, or exchanged. Each membership is tied to a specific profile and cannot be moved to another account. If you create a new account after cancellation, you will need to purchase a new membership.
After cancelling your premium membership, you can still receive and read messages from other members, but you cannot reply without an active premium membership. We recommend exchanging alternative contact methods with your matches before cancelling if you wish to continue communication outside our platform.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds based on the outcome of matches. Our service facilitates introductions, but we cannot guarantee compatibility or successful relationships. The membership fee covers access to our platform and features, not relationship outcomes.
Profile boosts and other promotional features expire immediately upon cancellation and are non-refundable. If you have an active boost when you cancel, it will stop, and your profile will return to normal visibility. We recommend using all purchased boosts before cancelling your membership.
Yes, you can reactivate your membership at any time by purchasing a new plan. Your profile information, preferences, and match history will be restored. However, you may lose some time-sensitive features like messages older than 6 months or expired interests.
You will receive a confirmation email at your registered email address immediately after cancellation. The email will include your cancellation reference number and the date when your premium features will expire. You can also check your membership status in your account settings.
